Contents AntHouse Kit model T acrylic:
- 1x acrylic sandwich (15x15x1.5 cm)
- 1x integrated feeding box (20x7x5 cm)
- 1x acrylic lid
- 1x feeding place
- 1x plastic pipette
- 1 x 10 ml Blue Sugar (liquid food)
- 1x 250 g mixture of sand and clay for the habitat of the ants
- 1x 50 g sand for decoration (color depending on availability)
- 1x 50 stone granules (decoration for the feed box)
Construction:
Simple construction. Put the sand in the T-shape. WARNING: Don’t omit to moisten the sand before adding the ants. Once the ant farm is assembled and you’ve got added the sand, you’ll use a small stick to poke some small holes in the sand to make it easier for the ants to build their galleries. Now add the ants by hand. Dump the ants that are in their transport container into the sand with extreme caution; close to the previously formed holes so that they may be able to take refuge immediately.
Caution:
Do not wet all the sand. Approximately 5ml – 10ml of water is sufficient (it is rather difficult to give an exact figure as it is rather dependent on the prevailing temperature, use your judgment to weigh the amount needed.
